Evan Kille, 85, of Gibsonburg passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 with the love and support of his family by his side.
He was born on November 24, 1940 in Gibsonburg to the late Howard and Leta (Burns) Kille.
Evan served in the U.S. Army where he learned the skills of his calling as a mechanic. He continued to sharpen his craft through his life not only at Wonder Bread, but also at home where he spent lots of time in his garage working on the cars of friends and family. Evan was just the kind of man to help however he could.
He married the love of his life Peg Croxford on March 9, 1962 in Killeen, Texas.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Peg; son, Christopher (Brenda) Kille of Gibsonburg; grandchildren, Katie (Jason) Smith and Laura Kille: Ashley (Nick) Walby, Matthew Kille, Brianna (Kyle) Gosche and Nicholas (Maddison) Kille; great-grandchildren, Axle Waugaman and Maximus Wilson; Reece, Kenzley and Avery Walby: Weston, Karsyn, Colson Gosche and Hudson Kille; siblings, Mary Lou Golden and Larry Kille; and brothers & sisters-in-law, Becky, David (Christopher Bolgiano) and Vick Croxford.
He is preceded in death by his son Todd Kille.
Visitation for Evan will be held on Tuesday, March 24th from 1-5 PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cematory, Gibsonburg. A Memorial Service will begin at 5 PM with Military Honors to follow.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or to Windsor Lane Healthcare, memo- Dementia Unit.
