Edmund "Eddie" or "Big E" Berberick, 65, of Fremont, passed away February 9, 2026, at ProMedica Fremont Hospital in Fremont. He was born on September 22, 1960, to Marie (Bergefurd) Berberick and Edmund F. Berberick Jr., in Fremont, Ohio.

Eddie previously worked for Nickels Bakery over 15 years and had just retired from Cooper Standard Automotive in November of 2025 after 30 years with the company. He was known for his dedication to his job and would never miss a day of work.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Marie "Tweedy" Berberick and her significant other, Kevin Johnson; sister, Lori Berberick Myers; niece and nephew; several great-nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews; his friends of many years Kevin R. Johnson; and supportive friends Teri Hamilton and Charlene Dlugoleski.
He was preceded in death by his dad and his two Dotson companions.

Eddie was a member of the United Steel Workers, Men's Bowling League, and Iron Core. He was a sprint car racing fan and enjoyed attending races at the Fremont, Eldorah, World of Outlaws and the Knoxville, IA tracks. He was a Dale Earnheart Jr., Denver Broncos, and Ohio State Fan.

Per his wishes, there will be no services at this time, but there will be a celebration of his life held this summer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

His family would like to thank the staff at ProMedica Toledo Hospital 8th and 6th floor, ProMedica Fremont Hospital for their excelent care of Eddie and the staff at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Homes for their kind help in making Eddie's arrangements.
