Donald Lee Sharp, 70, of Fremont, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Toledo Hospital. He was born February 8, 1955, in Port Clinton, the son of George and Juanita (Newman) Sharp. On September 27, 1975, he married Frances Adelaide Zamora at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A master carpenter, Don was known for his skilled craftsmanship, strong faith, and kind spirit. He deeply loved his wife —affectionately known as “Frannie”—and their 50 years together were a true testament to love and devotion.
Don found his greatest joy in life’s simple moments—laughing with his children, fishing, or cheering on his favorite teams. He cherished the peace of Conesus Lake and the familiarity of Catawba Island. Above all, Don had a deep love for the traditions passed down through generations, and he took great pride in keeping them alive.
Surviving are his wife Frances of Fremont; children: Jacob Andrew Sharp (Elizabeth McCray) of Minneola, FL; Casey Brian Sharp (Christine Leyden) of Austin, TX; Christina Marie Springstun (David Springstun) of Ormond Beach, FL; and Melanie Ann Sharp (Luis Gomez) of Coral Springs, FL; grandsons Brayden Jacob Sharp and Bryce George Sharp; and brother Richard Sharp (Della and family)of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Sharp.
