Dianna L. Kraak

Dianna L. Kraak, 77, of Fremont passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023. She was born August 2, 1945 in Toledo the daughter of Frederick and Lucille (Waggoner) Myers. Dianna was a 1963 graduate of Ross High and went on to work for Fremont City Schools as the Cafeteria Manager at Lutz Elementary.

On September 8, 1988 she married Myron "Mike" Kraak. Together they founded the Kraak Foundation to support numerous community causes including Campfire and Sandusky County Fair where they were instrumental in funding and building the Misty Meadows Complex and the Flower Building at the Fair Grounds. They also provided the community Christmas for children. The entire family was involved in the planning, purchasing and delivery of Christmas gifts for 100 area children each year. Mike preceded her in death on March 12, 2003.

Dianna was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran, enjoyed her time socializing at her Nugent's Canal Cottage, trips to Amish Country and time in her backyard feeding squirrels and watching deer. She was an active member of Nugent's Canal Yacht Club where she served in numerous officer positions through out the years.

Surviving are her sons Brian (Nan Kramer) and Gary (Cheryl) Offenburg, grandchildren Abby, Ashley and Garrett; great-grandchildren Ryker, Kendra and Kayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Rick Myers and Sharon Williams.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 9-11A.M. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral services will begin at 11A.M. with Pastor Paul Bailie to officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Campfire or Dorothy L. Kern Cancer Center.
