Dennis Paul Robinson, 77, of Helena, passed away at home surrounded by family on November 6, 2023. He was born in Fremont, Ohio, on October 8, 1946, to Carl Robert and Frances M. (Cook) Robinson. Dennis was a 1965 graduate of Elmwood High School. In 1966 he enlisted in the United States Army and bravely served during Vietnam until he received his honorable discharge in 1969. Following his service in the military, Dennis was a delivery man for Buckeye Pipeline Services and retired in 2008. Later in life he reconnected with and then married his high school sweetheart, Lillie Fay Aldrich, on October 22, 1988, at the United Methodist Church in Green Springs, and she survives.

Dennis was a member of the VFW, a lifetime member of the American Legion AmVets where he was a past commander, the D.A.V., Howard County Vietnam Veterans, and the Vietnam Veterans of America.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lillie Robinson of Helena, OH; step-daughters, Amy Jo (Kenny) Kessler of Helena, Dixie K. Prenzlin of Sycamore, OH; 3 grandchildren; great-granddaughters; numerous step-grandchildren; siblings, Gerald H. (Anna) Robinson of Green Springs, OH, Ronald L. Robinson of England, Dean P. (Beverly) Robinson of PA, Donald G. Robinson of Helena, OH.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Rae Asmus, brother, James D. Robinson.

Visitation will take place Friday, November 10, 2023, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH, 43431. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with military honors to follow. Pastor Michael Holcomb will officiate. For those unable to attend, live-streaming of services will be available by following the link provided on Dennis’s obituary page.

Burial will take place at a later date at Metzgar Cemetery.
