Dennis Ray "Bear" Heimert

Dennis Ray "Bear" Heimert, 77, of rural Fremont passed away on January 27, 2026 at his home. He was born on October 30, 1948 to the late William "Bill" and Martina (Lybrand) Heimert and attended Fremont Ross High School.

 Dennis worked for Crescent Manufacturing for 15 years as a machinist before becoming self employed for over 25 years. He also worked for Darl Schiets in the 70's and 80's threading wheels. Dennis had a love of Harley Davidson motorcycles. He poudly built one himself and enjoyed working on them in his spare time. 

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Brian (Tamara) Heimert of Arizona, and Amy (Christy) Holland of Gibsonburg; grandchildren, Alex and Tyler; great-granddaughter, Angie; and brothers, Gary and Robert Heimert. 

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Martina; brother, Larry Heimert; and grandparents, John and Hattie Heimert. 

A graveside service for Dennis will be held at a later date.
