Dana Sue Coonrod

She was born on March 24, 1959 to the late Dale H. and Helen (Vincent) Petersen.
Dana graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1977, and participated on their basketball and track teams through her sophomore year, before meeting her high school sweetheart and future husband.
On July 23, 1977 she married the love of her life, Timothy Coonrod in Fremont, and they shared 40 years of loving marriage together before his passing in 2017.
Dana was a faithful member of Grace Community Church. She enjoyed studying God's word and faithfully loved and serve others endlessly. She was a caregiver at heart, and showed great compassion to anyone in need. Her family will remember her hardworking, selfless spirit that guided her throughout life and the love that she shared for her husband, sons, and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bryan Coonrod, Aaron Coonrod, and Clint Coonrod; grandchildren, Gavin Coonrod, Taylor Coonrod, Logan Coonrod, Colin Coonrod, Beckett Coonrod-Mussell, and Easton Coonrod; and siblings, Valerie (David) Ross; Sherry Yarborogh, DaLeen (Doug) Markel, and David Petersen.
Dana is preceded in death by her husband, Tim and brother, Garry Heselton.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29 from 3:00-7:00pm at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Crematory, Fremont. Funeral services will be held the following day, Tuesday, April 30, beginning at 11:00am at Grace Community Church, Fremont, with an hour of visiting prior to services. Burial will be held at a later date.
