Clyde E. Michael, 92, of Lindsey passed away on July 25, 2026 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. He was born on May 28, 1934 to the late A.C. and Cora E. (Speller) Michael. Clyde was a 1953 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. After graduation, he held a 30 year career at Brush Wellman/Materion and was a lifelong farmer.
In 1955, he married Suzanne Auxter and shared nearly 49 years together until her passing in 2004. Following Suzanne's passing, Clyde was blessed with a second love, Janet Longanbach, and together they have been married for over 20 years.
Clyde was a charter member of the Lindsey Lions Club, and has been an active member for 66 years. He also was a founding member of the WA-JA-SA Farm Council, a member of the Fremont Ross Football Hall of Fame, and a faithful member of Lindsey Trinity Church.
He greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren going fishing and attending their events.
Left to cherish Clyde's memory are his wife, Janet; children, Kurt (Cynthia) Michael, Chris (Kathleen) Michael, and Beth (Roger) Schlea; step-children, Scott (Sara) Longanbach and Denise Knipp; grandchildren, Nicole (Chris) Adams, Ryan Michael, Angela (Todd) Throop, Heather (Mike) Neugent, Jeff Michael, AJ (Michelle) Schlea, Derek (Carrie) Schlea, and Curtis (Abbey) Schlea; step-grandchildren, Sadie (Tyler) Pedersen, Sam Longanbach, Justin (Evelyn) Knipp, Jason Knipp, Jenna Holcomb, and Jamie (AJ) Havens; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne (Dee) Michael, Richard (Suzie) Michael, Dave (Carol) Michael, and Bruce (Jane) Michael; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Michael.
Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Cora; first wife, Suzanne; and brother, Doug Michael.
Visitation for Clyde will be held on Thursday, August 6 from 3:00-7:00pm at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7 beginning at 11am at the Lindsey Trinity Church with an hour of visitation prior to services. Burial will follow at Lindsey Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Lindsey Trinity Church's ASP Youth Group, the Lindsey Lions Club, or to the Lindsey Volunteer Fire Department.
