Charles Dagg

Charles L. “Chuck” Dagg, 57, of Fremont, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.  He was born on February 19, 1961 in Fremont to the late Charles and Helen (Kilgus) Dagg.

Chuck was a 1980 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and worked as owner and operator of Precision Pallets. He was a member of Impact Credit Union Board of Trustees and St. John Lutheran Church, Fremont.  In his free time, he loved to restore cars and was an avid sprint car racer.  He was proud of achieving three different 305 Sprint Car Divisional Championships in 2005. Chuck loved traveling with his family, meeting new people and making everyone laugh with the stories that he told.

On May 10, 1986, he married the love of his life, Connie (Cowdrey) at St. Mark’s in Fremont; she survives.  Also surviving are his children, Julia K. Dagg of Columbus and Jacob W. Dagg of Fremont; sisters, Carol Lake and Connie McCloy, both of Fremont; and brother, Gary Dagg of Hoover, AL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stephen Dagg and infant brother, Jeffrey Dagg.

Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont, on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m., where there will be an additional hour of visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Matthew Wheeler and close, personal friend, Rev. Tony Burel, will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please consider donating a unit of blood in Chuck’s honor or to give monetary donations to the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame or to the care of the family.

Chuck’s entire family would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful staffs for the care and compassion they received at Firelands Medical Center, Sandusky and the OSU James Comprehensive Cancer Center, Columbus.
