Catherine C. "Kitty" Lotycz

Catherine C. “Kitty” Lotycz, 86, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. She was born on July 25, 1934 in Fremont to the late Bernard and Cecilia (Hammer) Hoffman. On September 12, 1953 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Millersville, she married the love of her life, John “Chub” Lotycz. They shared a lifetime of love and 45 years of marriage until John’s passing on July 3, 1990. Together they owned and operated Lotycz and Sons before Kitty retired in 1994.

Kitty was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, the Fremont Eagles and the Women of the Moose.  Whether it was vacationing with her husband and friends, playing cards with her girlfriends or just spending time visiting, Kitty truly valued her relationships with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Steven (Bonnie) Lotycz of Fremont, Linda (Ron) Whitcomb of Fremont, Thomas (Bill Prentice) Lotycz, Teresa (Terry) Hinkle of Fremont, Joseph Lotycz of Fremont, Robert (Lisa) Lotycz, Paul (Jennifer) Lotycz of Fremont and Lisa (Bill) Lamalie of Fremont; siblings; Lawrence (Marilyn) Hoffman, Mary Lou (Wayne) Stults and Agnes (Dave) Peiffer; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; and siblings, Carl, Cletus, George and Bernadine Esker.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Sacred Heart Catholic Parish or a charity of the donor’s choice

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Anjulina’s Banquet Hall 2270 Hayes Ave, Fremont, OH 43420 from 1-5 p.m. Those attending are required to wear a mask to enter the facility. Please be patient as admittance will be guided to adhere to social distancing. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish 10:00 a.m. Fr. Krzysztof Kardzis will officiate. Burial and Committal Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
