June 6, 1945 — June 25, 2020

Gibsonburg – Carolyn J. McGough, 75, passed away on June 25, 2020 at St. Vincent Mercy, Toledo. She was born in Fostoria on June 6, 1945 to Earl Zender, Sr. and Hazel (Meyers) Zender.

She enjoyed many Sunday dinners with them, and never missed an opportunity to cheer for her grandchildren in any and all of their activities or sporting events.

Carolyn will be remembered for her abundant faith and prayerful spirit. If there was a way she could help, Carolyn would be there, and even in death she continues to show her love to others through organ & tissue donation. She was an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, and was a faithful visitor to residents of Windsor Lane and Luther Meadow where she enjoyed their company and many card games.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Mike (Troy) McGough of Akron, Shelly (Joe) Dry of Calera, OK, Tammy (Tom) Stoudinger of Gibsonburg, Holly (Geno Perales) McGough of Gibsonburg, Tom (Heather) McGough of Gibsonburg, Kim McGough-Sleek of Green Springs; grandchildren, Michael, Jason, & Mandy McGough; Austin, James & Jakob Dry; Mackenzie, Alyssa & Keegan Stoudinger; Sydney & Lyndsey Perales; Mason, Dylan & Collin McGough; and Katelyn, TJ, Aidan & Zach McGough; great-grandson, Grayson McGough; and siblings, Joe Zender, Kenny Zender and Ruth Goggans.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Sr.; son, Billy McGough, Jr.; grandson, Max McGough; foster parents, Nick and Evelyn Schetter; and siblings, Earl and Arthur Zender.
