Carol A. Nebergall

Helena

Carol A. Nebergall, 90, of Helena passed away on September 10, 2024 at Valley View Health Campus. She was born on January 10, 1934 to the late Jacob and Edna (Foringer) Lynch.

A 1951 graduate of Old Fort High School, Carol went on to attend the Tiffin University College of Business. 

On April 16, 1955, she married Everett Nebergall at St. Jacob's United Church of Christ in Republic, and together they shared over 64 years of marriage until his passing in 2019.

Carol worked as a secretary at the Pfizer & Co. stone quarry in Gibsonburg and later for the Basic in Bettsville where she retired in 1997.

She also worked as the Village Treasurer of Helena and was on the Helena Volunteer Fire Department. Carol was a member of Shiloh Church, the Lincoln Rebekah Lodge, the Good Sam Club - Chapter 64, the Ladies Aide of Shiloh, and was active on the Fireman's Auxiliary. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Shirley Nebergall of Findlay, Wanda (Neil) Hoffman of Burgoon, and Phyllis (Dale) Hoffman of Helena; grandchildren, Ashley (Gabe) Valley, Anthony (Morgan) Hoffman, Amber Hoffman, and Ann Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Dixon Dukett and Delilah Dukett; and beloved cat, Ripley. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Edna; husband, Everett; brothers Otto and Clifford, and grandson, Alexander Hoffman.

Visitation for Carol will be held on Sunday, September 15 from 2:00-6:00pm at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg.

Services will be held on Monday, September 16 beginning at 10:30 at Shiloh Church in Helena, with an hour of visitation prior to services. Pastor Mike Holcomb will officiate. Burial will follow at Metzgar Cemetery.

Donations in Carol's name may be made to the Helena Volunteer Fire Department or to Shiloh Church.
