Betty Evans Mauch, 94, of Lindsey, passed away in the comfort of her home and care of her family on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born on September 7, 1927, in Fremont to Guy and Gladys (Maurer) Evans.

As a 1945 graduate of Gibsonburg High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Chester Carl Mauch on June 23, 1945. "Chet" survives.

Over the years Betty was member of both Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hessville, OH and Grace Lutheran in Elmore, OH. Recently she has been attending St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Bowling Green, OH.

Earlier in her life she was a member of their local Farm Council as well as her beloved Chatterbox Club, a group of high school friends who met monthly for over 50 years. Betty was also a member of the Sandusky County Republican Women's Club.

Betty always helped her husband, Chet, with just about everything including driving sugar beet trucks when their youngest daughter was a month old. For years she daily took lunches to their field workers during spring planting and fall harvest seasons. The guys were always happy to see her coming to their fields.

She has a passion for gardening and shared her love of birds, flowers, plants and rocks with everyone she met. Betty always loved the beauty of our creation.

Surviving is her husband of over 76 ½ years, Chester "Chet" Mauch; children, Phyllis (Mike) Bergman of Carmel, IN, Ronald Mauch of Lindsey, OH; grandchildren Sheryl (Matt) Quigley, Carla (Rodney) Gray, Amy (Ryan) Ade, Lynne Kovach, Ashley Flickinger, Ryan (Alexa) Parker, Nik (Megan) Wearsch, Johanna (Josh Talbert) Wearsch, Jacob (Crystal) Younker, and Carl Mauch; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Smolenski, Gabe, Madison, Matthew and Metta Quigley, Alexa, Olivia and Sophia Ade, Brennan LeBenne, Ridley Sabo, Ty James and Taytum Parker, Olivia and Greyson Wearsch, Nieve and Yoav Talbert, and Douglas and Fayma Younker; and great-great-granddaughter Eliana LaBenne.

She is preceded in death by her daughters, Barbi Mauch, Peggy Wearsch, Mary Mauch, Judy Mauch; daughter-in-law, Anita Mauch; and great-granddaughter, Taylor Anne Koulouris.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 12, at 9 a.m., at Ole Zim's Wagon Shed, 1375 N. OH 590, Gibsonburg, OH, 43431 where Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Dennis Wansitler and Pastor Jim Budke officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Harris-Elmore Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Lindsey Volunteer Fire Department, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hessville or St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Bowling Green.
