Amy Lamson

Amy Lamson, 83, of Fremont, passed away at home surrounded by family on May 6, 2022. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio, on February 4, 1939, to Joseph and Nina (Duffey) Russell. Amy graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1956. Over the years she had many jobs, but her favorite was working in administration at Fremont Memorial Hospital where she retired in 1997. On May 11, 1996, Amy married Walter "Gus" Lamson at Grace Lutheran Church, and he survives. Amy was very involved in her community as well as her church. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she assisted with the funeral luncheons and other activities and was a past volunteer for the soup kitchens held there. Amy was also instrumental is establishing the mobile meals program in Fremont. In her free time, she loved to travel, especially going on cruises, and went everywhere from the Caribbean to Europe. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends but above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. Additional visiting will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 705 W. State Street, Fremont, OH, 43420, from 10:00 AM until the time of her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Associate Lay Minister, Maureen Pump, will officiate.
