Harry Hansen

January 20, 1919 — July 30, 2005

Harry Joe Hansen, 86, of Gibsonburg died Saturday morning at Otterbein-Portage Valley Retirement Center, Pemberville. He was born on January 20, 1919 in Port Clinton, OH to John and Mabel (Druckenmiller) Hansen. Harry served in the US Army during WWII. He was a laborer at Whirlpool and a homebuilder since 1950. In 1964 he married Hazel Lynch Haubert and she survives. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg. Surviving are sons Robert of Vickery and David; stepchildren of 40 years, Phillip Haubert of Maumee, Suzanne Haubert Melroy of Santa Fe, NM, Rebecca Haubert Hall of Grapevine, TX; grandchildren, Eric Haubert of Maumee, Amanda Hall Sharp, Tyler Hall and Matthew Hall all of Grapevine, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Judith Hintz.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ralph Clink officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery with military rites by the Gibsonburg VFW/American Legion.
