Marie Rose

Marie Rose 98 of Gibsonburg died Wednesday evening May 11, 2005 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on February 27, 1907 to George & Sarah (Driftmeyer) Schlea in Gibsonburg. Marie graduated from Gibsonburg High School and on April 11, 1928 she married Seabir d Wilson Rose in Gibsonburg and he died in 1989. A lifelong resident of Gibsonburg Marie was a homemaker, a farmers wife and a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving is a son; Howard Rose of Richfield, Ohio daughter-in-law; Arlene Rose of Hinckley, Ohio, sister; Alice Swartzlander of Gibsonburg, grandchildren; Mark Rose of Strongsville, Ohio and Susan (Rose) OConnor of Broadview Hts., Ohio, great-grandchildren; Matthew & Megan Rose and Jack & Darby OConnor. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, son; Melvin in 2003 and brother; Paul Schlea. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM, with funeral services at 2:00 PM with Pastor Blair Miller officiating. Burial will follow at W. Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the church. Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg are handling the arrangements.
