Nella L Willison

Nella L. Willison, 103, formerly of Gibsonburg, died on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. She was born on April 25, 1906 in Wood County, Ohio to Oscar and Bertha (Hale) Slosser. Nella was a graduate of Bloomdale High School in 1923 and also attended Tiffin Business College. On September 15, 1932 she married Monroe R. Willison and he preceded her in death on April 24, 1976. Nella was a homemaker and owner/operator of B & W Electric in Gibsonburg between 1948 and 1981. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Delphian Club. Nella was very active at church being a Sunday school teacher for many years and sang in the choir. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Nella volunteered at Bethesda Care Center for twelve years.

Surviving is a daughter, Beverly Schwartz of Inman, SC and son-in-law, Ken Aspacher of Toledo; five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Linda Aspacher in March 2010 and granddaughter, Jennifer Tornow in 2000 and her brothers Lawrence & Carl Slosser.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 22nd from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with one hour of visitation at church prior to the service. Rev. Fritz Merkes will be officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or to Hospice of Memorial Hospital in Nellas memory.
