Mildred L. Wojdyla, 80, 205 E. North St., Fremont, died Thursday afternoon at her home. She was born in Hessville to Emmett and Elizabeth (Spieldenner) Van Ness and attended Gibsonburg schools. She married Joseph P. Wojdyla Dec. 24, 1942, at St. Casimir Catholic Church and he survives. A homemaker, Mildred worked as a department head for many years, the last place was Hecks Department Store. She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Fremont, where she was baptized. She was a member of the western square dancing club Buttons and Bows and the Rebecca Lodge of Fremont, and enjoyed crafts. Surviving are sons, Joseph N. (Darlene) Wojdyla Jr., John O. Wojdyla and James E. Wojdyla, all of Fremont; brothers, Orrin Van Ness of Clyde, and Kenneth Van Ness of Sandusky; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded by sons, Dennis M. Wojdyla and Dorrin P. Wojdyla; brothers, Lewis, Earl, James and Emmett LeRoy Van Ness; and sisters, Mary Rufty, Alberta Hotz, Elizabeth Nieset and Ethel Young. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday with wake service at 3:30 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Fremont with the Rev. Robert Weithman officiating
