FREMONT: Christopher L. Zaleski, 55, of Fremont, died on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at his home.
He was born on May 29, 1954 in Sandusky, OH to Joseph and Shirley Lou (Arthur) Zaleski. Christopher attended St. Joseph High School and was a 1972 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1972-1976 during the Vietnam War. Christopher worked as a structural welder, sub-contractor working most recently in Mississippi. On May 31, 1997 he married Kimberly (Smith) Setzler and she survives. Christopher was a member of the former St. Casimir Catholic Church and the K of C. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.
Surviving in addition to his wife; are sons, Steve (Nicole) Gibson, Aaron Zaleski, both of Fremont, Tim Setzler of Gibsonburg; grandson, James Gibson; brothers, Joseph (Micki) of Norwalk, Jan (Darleen) and Matthew Zaleski of Fremont.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at McGormley Cemetery, Fremont at 1 p.m. with Deacon Tom Ackerman officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Fremont American Legion and VFW. A gathering will follow the services at Jan Zaleski's home at 544 Lime Street, Fremont.
