Verna Bryant

Verna Bryant, 73, of Gibsonburg passed away, on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on April 15, 1944 in Grayson, KY to Harvey and Zella (Fryer) Salyers.

On June 8, 1963, Verna married the love of her life, Leslie Bryant Sr., at the Church of the Nazarene in Gibsonburg, and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2007.

In her spare time, Verna loved to read, spend time garage-sale-ing with family and friends, and going for the occasional milkshake, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Verna is survived by her children, Leslie Jr. (Courtney) of Bellevue, Kenneth E. of Gibsonburg, Jeffrey P. (Stephanie) of Norwalk, Rebecca J. (Gerald) Reed of Bradner, Debra R. Jacobs of Gibsonburg, and Cynthia A. (Kris) Siebert of Fremont; grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah), Heather, Joshua (Lindsay), Andrew, Emily (Bobby), Keith, Kurtis, Brandon, John, Robert, Ashley, Cody, Katelyn (Dustin), Hayden, and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Xavier, Wyatt, Layla, Logan, Lucas, Gavin, Bronson, Ava, Carys, Aryana, John Jr., Aryal, Brody and Mason; and siblings, Zella “Bea” (Theodore) Radtke; sister-in-law, Berthe Mull; and brother-in-law, Bill Hill.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie; and sister, Stella “Blondie” Hill.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services where Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Harry Hunt will officiate. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.
