Jean Mary Hoffman

Jean Mary Hoffman, 90, of Helena passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Parkview Care Center surrounded by her family. She was born on August 24, 1927 to the late John and Ruth (Annable) Leemaster in Toledo.

Jean graduated from Woodville High School in 1946. On September 4, 1948, she married her sweetheart Harold Hoffman, together they shared 69 loving years together. Jean was a former member of the Eagles, VFW, American Legion, and the Ohio Farm Bureau.  She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, but had not been able to attend regularly due to her health. Jean was a very caring, loving, special person who was dedicated to her family. She was kind and humble to a fault. Jean loved the outdoors and always admired butterflies; her love for them demonstrates her kindness and beauty. Jean will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Hoffman; children, Judy (Luther) Fox of Fremont, Diane (John) Johnson of Tiffin, Joyce (Ronald) Kowal of Powell, and Richard (Dick) Hoffman of Fremont; grandchildren, Craig and Jeff Fox, Lisa Young, and Alex Kowal; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Alexia, Jordan, Jayden, Jacob, Olivia, and Jenna Fox, Logan and Lance Young, Bryson and Rylann Fox; great-great-grandchildren, Sophia Fox and Noa Green; and sister, Lois Wagner.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Raymond, Clair, Robert, Warren, Harry Leemaster, and twin brother, Dean.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. with an additional hour of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Jeff Ridenour will officiate. Burial will follow at Washington Chapel Cemetery.
