Ronald R. Herr

Ronald R. Herr, 82, of Fremont passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Parkview Care Center surrounded by his family. He was born on July 9, 1936 in Fremont to Seraphine and Florence (Dumbroff) Herr.

Ron graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1955. On July 30, 1960 he married his best friend, Bernita Schleter in Fremont. Ronnie served in the National Guard from 1959-1965. He worked at the Sandusky County Engineers office retiring in 2001. In Ron’s spare time he enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.

Surviving is his loving wife, Bernita Herr of Fremont; daughters, Susan (Ron) Payne and Robin Armentrout both of Fremont; grandsons, Brian (Nichole) Armentrout, Cory Armentrout, and John Moreland; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Scott Mauch will officiate. Private burial will be held at a later date.
