Dennis L. Smith

Fremont- Dennis L. Smith, 67, passed away on Thursday August 2, 2018 at ProMedica Fremont Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 15, 1951 in Fremont to Charles and Dorothy (Ressler) Smith. Dennis served his country in the U.S. Army from 1971-1977. On June 12, 1971, He married Ila Henry. For 34 years he worked in Fremont for Atlas Industries as a Shipping and Receiving Planner. He enjoyed classic cars, and was a life member of the Fremont V.F.W. Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Ila; children, Yvonne Stoudinger, Tracy (Chris) Holland and Leslie (Travis Adair) Smith all of Fremont; grandchildren, Ashley Stoudinger, Josh Stoudinger, Paige Smith, Madeline Holland, Dylan Smith, Kenzie Smith, and Rylie Holland; great-grandchildren, Breylen Garza and Ashtyn McCoy; and brother, Chuck Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents and half brother, Darell Crosser Visitation will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Monday August 6th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Pastor CJ Burel will officiate. Burial will follow at McGormley Cemetery where Military Honors will be rendered. Memorials may be made to Veterans Services.
